Getting to Pavia (for Internationals)
By plane
The city of Pavia can be easily reached from the airports of Milan (both Milano Linate and Milano Malpensa, Terminal 1 and 2) and Bergamo (Orio al Serio). In order to reach Pavia:
From Milano Linate airport (the closest to Pavia) you can choose among different alternatives. Regular bus services (Linate Shuttle) connect Linate to downtown Milan (ATM Milano Line) to Milan’s railway station, from which you can take trains to Pavia. Alternatively, you can opt for a direct bus service, managed by “Autoservizi Botti”, which connects the airport to Pavia.
From Milano Malpensa airport, you have to get to Milan’s railway station either by train (Malpensa Express) or bus/shuttle (Malpensa Shuttle), from which you can take trains to Pavia.
From Orio al Serio airport (the farther from Pavia), you have to take a bus/shuttle (Orio Shuttle, Terravision) to Milan’s railway stations, from which you can take trains to Pavia.
By train
Pavia is on the Milano-Genova trainline.
Moreover, it is connected to Milan by the S13 suburban line, stopping at the stations indicated in the picture below, which are interconnected with other train lines or tubes.
The S13 suburban train guarantees trains every 30 minutes from 5.30 AM to 11 PM (you can find the timetables in both directions here).
Tickets can be bought both online and in the stations.

By car
From the A7 (MI-GE) highway take the exit Bereguardo-Pavia Nord;
Take the interconnection Bereguardo – Pavia and then take the Tangenziale Ovest of Pavia, following PIACENZA A1 A21, Milano
Take the exit Pavia, Ospedale, Stazione and then follow indicated directions
Since Palazzo San Felice, where the Department of Economics and Management is located, is placed in a ZTL (traffic-restricted zone for unauthorized vehicles), you can park nearby.

Please note that white parking lines indicate free parking areas; blue lines mean that you must pay a fee in order to use the lot, generally you can use parking meters working with coins; finally, yellow lines indicate that parking is reserved for select users or vehicles, so generally it is better to avoid them).
