REGISTRATION

Intended audience

The school is intended for PhD students of any discipline (NOTE: especially more scientific disciplines, since some sessions will be focusing on how to write a scientific paper. However students from SSH disciplines are also welcome to attend, if interested), faculty at any career stage (albeit particularly relevant for ERCs), and Master students that are considering enrolling in a PhD program.

Registration fees

Participation in the summer school is completely FREE OF CHARGE for UNIPV students and staff.

--> UNIPV students and Staff: FREE OF CHARGE (but please register below anyway, as venue space is limited and we need to plan accordingly)

Students from other universities, R&D and management staff from the private sector, and academic faculty (non-unipv) are also welcome to join. To support their participation a fee of 120 EUR is required as a contribution covering registration.

--> NON-UNIPV registration (i.e. anyone else): 120 EUR

Online-only registration

As organizers, we do believe that you can get the best out of the soft skills training by joining us in Pavia in person. We do want interaction, questions and a lively environment during the school. It's not a "sit back and listen" type of experience, that can also be equally effective if delivered as a webinar. Also, social activities and PR will be facilitated and incentivized among participants, faculty, and the larger community.

This being said, we do also offer the possibility of joining remotely, through a videoconference platform (zoom or teams or webex, still to be decided), for the same fee as in-person participation (yes, you read that right, same fee. This is meant to promote in-person participation, while also allowing those that cannot travel to get at least part of the training.)

--> Online-only fee: 120 EUR

NOTE: Online group attendance (i.e. more than one person in the room) is not acceptable. Each registration is intended as an individual registration, and all attendees either in person or online need to be registered.
If you'd like to attend the school, even online, but are struggling financially to cover the registration (e.g. no research/training funding available) instead of trying to circumvent the "individual registration" rule please let us know and we'll do our best to find alternative solutions, such as helping/supporting you to find funding to cover the registration fee.
